ABOUT THE SERIES:

Birthed from the womb of Deer Bear Wolf, Transgression is a reading series that seeks to bring the novelty back to the novel crowd – taking its audiences off the beaten path; straying from traditional platforms; and showcasing Atlanta’s most talented writers whilst challenging the perception of the written word.

ABOUT THE CURATORS:

Laura Relyea is a writer in Atlanta, Georgia. Along with being the Managing Editor of Scoutmob, she’s the Editor and Chief of Vouched Books – a grassroots initiative to promote and bolster the small press community through pop-up bookstores and different events. Her book, All Glitter, Everything, will be rereleased by Deer Bear Wolf this coming March. Her work has been published by Coconut Poetry, Monkey Bicycle, Everyday Genius, and elsewhere. She both fears and respects glitter.

John Carroll is a writer and artist from Atlanta, Georgia. He is the former Editor-in-chief of Purge ATL and the artist behind Make Blackout Poetry. His chapbook, Slow Burn, released in 2013 by Safety Third Enterprises, sold out in 36 hours. His forthcoming chapbook will be released by Deer Bear Wolf in 2015.
