Deer Bear Wolf Press is proud to announce its first chapbook, There Appeared A Sadness by Winston Blake Wheeler Ward.
Author Winston Blake Wheeler Ward has compiled a collection of three short sagas of immense weight in There Appeared a Sadness. The common threads of loneliness, abandonment and self-doubt are woven into each story, elevating them to a symbiotic and symphonic portrayal of life’s deepest longings for companionship, tenderness and acceptance. Individually, the narratives are vastly set-from outer space, to the ocean, into the blindness of the human heart.
There Appeared A Sadness will be released Wednesday, October 29 at MINT Gallery. The release will feature readings by John Carroll, Amy Stufflebeam, Davy Minor and Winston Blake Wheeler Ward.

Boom Done! Records Presents: MICHAEL PARALLAX // DADS NIGHT OUT // LIMINAL SPACE @ The Mammal Gallery
"MICHAEL PARALLAX (Orlando, FL): Why is everyone so damn afraid to be happy all the sudden? Forget about the lingering eventuality of death for a second and let Michael and his myriad costumes transport you to a place where every milkshake is Strawberry flavored and every bicycle has ribbons on it and every Skittle tastes RADICALLY DIFFERENT from the other skittles in the best possible way. Also in this alternate universe the new episodes of Arrested Development were AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER than the original run. (too soon?) DADS NIGHT OUT: What happens when you take a bunch of bored Dads and make them fight? DAD FIGHT. What happens when you take a bunch of bored Dads and introduce an electrical current? DAD LIGHT. What happens when you take a bunch of bored Dads and give them all prescription glasses? DAD SIGHT. What happens when you take a bunch of bored Dads and string them together such that the wind carries them high into the air? DAD KITE. What happens when you take a bunch of bored Dads and make them improvise bizarro music together? DADS NIGHT OUT! DADS NIGHT OUT! DADS NIGHT OUT! LIMINAL SPACE: Peter Webb likes to think that's he's all tall and handsome, like some tall handsome dude like "Oooooh look out for low hanging branches Mr. Good Lookin!" but really he's just a wonderful amazing talented songwriter like EVERYBODY ELSE. A little perspective goes a long way, Peter. Now pick up that guitar so we can hear you sing stuff. I'm a little harsh on Peter sometimes but that's only because we're legally married."
